Judicial review process complete

In March and April, a client of Collins Law issued two separate judicial review proceedings against the Chair of the Inquiry. This process has now come to an end. The proceedings were issued against two decisions made by the Chair of the Inquiry, Sir Brian Langstaff, in relation to the award of costs. The court dismissed both challenges as being totally without merit.

The judge commented: “The application for judicial review itself represents a serious error of judgment. For it to proceed would be a scandalous waste of time and resources, as well as an unjustified distraction from, and disruption of, the work of the Inquiry.”
