The Inquiry has published a financial report which details the Inquiry’s annual expenditure for the 2021-22 financial year up to 31 March 2022.
The report shows that the Inquiry spent £32.52 million in 2021-22. Continuing an annual expenditure trend, the Inquiry's investigation work was the largest cost area followed by the fees paid to legal representatives of core participants funded through the Inquiry.
Additionally, the Inquiry has reissued the financial reports for 2019-20 and 2020-21 due to subsequent accounting adjustments in relation to travel, and hearings and accommodation.
